HOW IS DR TOMS PRODUCED?

For Dr Toms they only used high-quality ingredients, contain no artificial colours and are made with natural flavours. But how are the cough drops made?

1. MEASURE

The first step is start with the measurements of the base ingredients, which we cant share for reasons you understand. Our automatic measure system is electronic controlled which made sure that the quality and composition of the mixture is always the same.

2. MIXTURE

To the base mixture we add other ingredients like, acids, salt and natural flavourings. This is depending on the flavours. We only use natural ingredients.

3. BOILING

After the mixture is well mixed together we boil the mixture on a high temperature. This is complety automatilly controlled. By boiling the mixture the moisture disappear from the mixture.

4. SHAPE

A machine will turn the mixture (dough) into a long round cord. After this the machine will rapid shape the small cough drops into the ovale shape.

They will cooldown further in a cooling funnel.

5. PACKAGING

Final step! The cough drops when cooled down go into a wrapper machine which individual wrap every single piece. This is preventing that the pastilles stick to each other and hygienic to take with you.

The wrapped cough drops are then packed together in a bag. Now the DR Toms cough candy are ready to be sold to you!
